We use the "OPERA" method of purchasing, which is probably the most successful. It permits precise prior analysis of needs, the evaluation of potential suppliers and objective measurement of the most appropriate balance between needs, pricing criteria, quality and relationships with suppliers.
Where a clearly defined product is being researched (often already used by the company), a light version of the method is used, which may be summarized as follows:
The company provides us with precise terms and conditions (quality, price, deadlines etc) preferably including a sample.
We identify potential suppliers.
We carry out an initial selection of suppliers.
We present the project to the suppliers chosen.
Detailed analysis of responses and evaluation of the best supplier.
Offer and samples to your company.
Validation.
Drawing up and signing of a sales contract between your company and AsiaCost.
